Just a flaming kiss of a stout. The stout itself is rather gentle, laced with chocolate and deep veins of roast, not showing a bit of its ABV. The peppers add a punch of spice, with a modest herbaceous note followed by intense but manageable heat. Capsaicin lingers for a bit, but never reaches brutal levels of burn. Damn fine pepper beer, a perfect balance of spiciness and stout. One of the best examples of the style I’ve come across
