12oz can (6pack) bought in Asheville. Decent NEIPA - fairly generic as NEIPA's go, but still solid

Ever so slightly hazy golden and straw coloured body with a thick, dense, but very soapy off-white head that starts off at about five centimetres tall and fades to just a single centimetre or so and leaves a pretty ugly soapy lace. Aroma of grass, light citrus, strong biscuity malts and a dry floral and dry bite that shows some nice and still slightly bittering hops, all with a dry malt component and a touch of both yeast and some sugars at the end. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy hop bites show at first with a good distinct bitterness from the hops with some grapefruit zest and a touch of perfumey notes that couple well with the strong malt and a light fruity/juicy sweetness that shows more punch than the alcohol which is fairly mild throughout. Aftertaste shows a nice balance of malts and hops and while the hops show a nice balance of juicy/fruity and bittering and herbal characteristics, the dryness out of anything is the most pervasive. Overall, a nice and balanced IPA that is still recognizable as an older school, still bitter East Coast IPA, but does show some of the juicy side of things as well. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington, Virginia on 17-August-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 01-September-2020.

7 week old can A: Poured a short but lasting head atop a cloudy pale gold body. S: All bright citrus featuring mainly grapefruit and lemon. Pithy and tart. T: Bitter and dry pithy citrus as in the nose. Grapefruit and tart lemon over light biscuit or crackers. M: Soft but plentiful carbonation and very dry mouthfeel. Clean finish. O: Not very complex but doesn't need to be. Simple but good.
