Actually pretty tasty, just underwhelms everywhere else. Strong notes of rich caramel, toasted pumpernickel, apple, and grass, with a modest bitterness on the back end and lingering roast. Nose lacks a punch, though, and the appearance and feel are unexpectedly cheap. Probably a little better than it rates.

16 oz. can from Total Wine - Melbourne. Pours a classic clear bronze color with a beige head and decent retention. No lacing. Lots of streaming carbonation. Caramel malt aroma. The flavor follows the nose. Sweet caramel malt flavor dominates with a little bread and very faint bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Very smooth and clean and easy drinking. Good American example of the style. Aaahh, October in May.

Can at home. Bright amber pour. Nose is malty and bready. Tastes of toffee, malt, rootbeer, bread, fig. Chewy mouthfeel. Fruity finish.
Caramel biscuits, sweet and light and solid Germany vibes
