Fairly hazy golden and straw coloured body with a thick, frothy pure white head that fades pretty slowly and leaves a large, soapy lace on the sides - interesting. Aroma of soap, wheat, light malt, a dose of subdued German hops with some alpha acids here, a crisp grassy finish and yes, some light earl grey tea leaves (not brewed/steeped tea), but some subtle leaves that have a nuanced scent. Light to Medium-bodied; Very soapy and grassy flavours dominate up front with a big touch of lemons and hay and some nuanced tea flavours with some jasmine, chamomile and deeper, roasted earl grey notes here with bergamot and lavender, too, that finish nicely with the grass and lemons strongest. Aftertaste is crisp without any sugars at all here along with a touch of hay and flowers, with the tea ever-present and a dash of flowers towards the end, all with no sweetness, a touch of hops and a little bit of hops here. Overall, a pretty nice, dry, grassy, floral saison that you'd be expecting, but with the added bit of very soft and light earl grey tea components with bergamot and lavender a bit stronger here. Nice to sample, but not as great as I was hoping for, given that I love Earl Grey and the drier beers typically made by Crooked Stave. Nice to sample, but not amazing. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 04-November-2021 for US$2,84 sampled at my house here in Washington on 05-June-2022.

Very subtle, more like a gentle table beer than a saison, with modest notes of grass, bread, and lemon, underlined by a strong vein of bergamot. Finishes dry and a tad soapy, but with an easygoing fade humming with Earl Grey goodness. Quite sippable.

Can - pours a hazy light gold - nose is medium sweet with notes of burgamot and other citrus, tea, lemon, very mild underlying funk - the tea and citrus are forward - leads a little sweet, but becomes drier and lightly tart near the end - brett is very subtle in this - just some buggy funk hinting around the edges - finishes lightly tart, mildly bitter, and a touch spicy - lingering earl grey presence - subtle and refreshing.
