Heavy, sweet, and too bitter; loses all the subtleties that make pils such a wonderful style. Grain and corn on the front, underlined by some herbal funkiness and a little wood, followed by cut grass, lingering corn sweetness, and a strong bite of oily, floral hop bitterness. Muddled; call me a stick in the mud, but some types of beer don't need to be imperialized.

First the can look exactly like the old Pilsner Urquell cans. Pour is a gold with a large white head. Aroma is a decent clean and bready pils malt with some spicy hops. Flavor is more pils malt, maybe a bit oily and again a spicy herbal hop. A little bit heavier and thicker body then the usual pils but this is o.k. If they could have gotten this more in the 5% range I think this would have been a spot on old world style pils.
