Created in collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing, this farmhouse ale features premium German Dark malt and Czech Saaz hops that have been hickory smoked for seven days by Allan Benton (of Benton’s Country Hams)

Pretty intense smoked beer, coupling a delicious Blackberry Farm saison with heavy-duty smoked malts, adding dominant char notes to all the farmhouse mellowness. Moderately sweet with vanilla, clove, banana, and grass all providing a solid saison base, yet the smokiness underlines every aspect of the bottle, tacking on an all-encompassing blackened heaviness to the general farmhouse subtlety. Never grows overpowering though, ultimately achieving a precarious balance between lovely trip-through-a-meadow grassiness and a scorched-earth charred finish. Takes a while to attune to what this pint's puttin' down, but when you get it, you get it. Deceptively well-made beer.

Sampled from bottle shared by Joes. Opaque yellow to light orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, smoke quite heavily yet balanced. Nice with the meat from the BBQ. Suitable decent body and carbonation.

0,75l bottle at home. No obvious BB date. golden clear shiny color, rather big white head. smells smoky, earthy, nice bacon notes, bit leathery, lightly citric, very nice smell. full body, quite bubbly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes leathery, rather rubbery, some defreezer liquid, lightly citric, earthy. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of rubber, leather and earhty notes. rather unbalanced on the taste, while the aroma was very lovely. I guess its a good idea to keep this in the storage for a while, maybe it mellows out a bit.. Overall drinkable.

Aroma has smoked ham and quite nothing else. Flavour has some grainy tones, smoked ham and some malty tones. Aroma was promising but smoked ham is too much in the background in the flavour side. This has some grätzer vibes.
