Subtle, with only the faintest hint of smoke in the fade to earn rauchbier cred; the rye is more prominent, adding a spicy undertone laced with bright grain notes and a mild citrus-apple sweetness. Finishes with a touch of toasted bread and pine, clean except for the slight smoke. Nice pint.
