Keg at the brewpub. Pours deep brown-black with a dense mocha cap. Rich roasted malts and espresso in the nose, some dark chocolate, dark fruits. Medium to heavy sweet flavorbwith a bit of alcohol sting, more robust coffee, slight rubbery botes, scorched earth, baking cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Warming finish, more bittersweet chocolate, coffee grounds, raisins, burnt wood. An OK beer overall.

Keg at the brewpub. Opaque black coloured pour with a dark tan head. Aroma is earthy coffee bean, woody, charred roasted barley, light vanilla. Palate is very highly carbonated, abrasive on the tongue, medium bodied. Flavour is bitter roasted grains and coffee, light coffee bean, rich dark choc, charred toast. A bit too bitter astringent for me.
