Bottle. Pours inky black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is peaty, cocoa, roast, coffee. Flavor is merlin sweet, light plus bitter, light peat and a touch of smoke. Full body.

Poured from a 32 oz crowler. Aroma is malt forward with lots of chocolate, bitter and dark with lighter roast notes. Light caramel and treacle notes. Quite a bit of scotch notes with lighter rum and faint oak. A bit of dark fruit notes - raisin and prune and medium light coffee. Light alcohol spice. Pours jet black with a fairly large, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small, creamy film that lingers. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is very sweet with fairly strong not s of dark and bitter chocolate. Lighter roast and caramel notes with some treacle as well. Moderate coffee notes with moderately strong peaty scotch notes. Much lighter rum and oak character. Medium light alcohol notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied and sticky with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Overall, an odd speedway. The scotch notes overpower the rum quite a bit. Decent coffee notes though.

Sample at Tide's Residence, Helsinki. Color is almost black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Whiskey, some peat, vineous elements, rum, coffee and roasted malts.

750ml bottle. Stingy boozy, roasty and heavy with leathery smoky woody notes, peat, rum, coffee, oak and whisky. Heavy and harsh, a bit unbalanced.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Light rum and peat aroma. Smokey scotch flavor with rum and chocolate. Medium bodied. Big rum and light fruitiness linger with chocolate and scotch.
