To help our hometown toast the San Diego Padres, we brewed a hoppy pale ale that would make any San Diegan proud. This 100% Simcoe hopped brew has aromas of citrus, peach, mellow berry, pine and grapefruit, complemented by a biscuity malt backbone and crisp finish. Named for the Padres’ iconic Friar mascot, this beer is sure to be a home run during baseball season and beyond.

Shaker pint draft at Basic Bar and Pizza in San Diego, California. The pour is crystal clear yellow golden with a small white head. The aroma is cracker malt and a touch of floral hop. The taste is simple, clean balance of the fresh malt and the clean floral hop. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a brief clean finish. Easy drinking.

12 ounce can. Bright, brassy gold color. Large frothy white head. Aroma hints at stone fruit, citrus peel and pine. Bready malt flavor leads to sharp citrus and piney hops. Crisp and clean with great balance and drinkability.
