Can, by way of a trade. Straw colour. Lightly hazy. Film of white head. Nose has sweet lemon. Bright pine. Pine cone. Some white pepper. Taste has some lemon zest bitterness. Nearly sweet, in a digestive biscuit kind of way. Surprisingly light mouthfeel. In fact it feels a little thin. More pepper and lemon to finish. Easy drinking, but not particularly outstanding.

On tap at the brewery, Oakland. Pours cloudy golden, medium white head. Hoppy flowery aroma, some fruit, bit sweetish, lasting bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

Draft. Golden beer with an off-white head. Tropical fruit and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light over-ripe fruit lingers with light tropical fruit.

On tap at Bottles. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very potent with mango and passionfruit. Fruit candies. The El Dorado comes through really strong. The flavor is the same. Mango, grapefruit and passionfruit. Very light and crisp with low bitterness. Super dangerous at 8% as it drinks a lot lower than that. Maybe my favorite double IPA yet from Fieldwork.

First review of the beer! Draught at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Somewhat restrained aroma (for these guys) of pineapple, tropics, and mild wheat. Mostly clear light gold with a bubbly white head bat fades to a color. Taste is extremely smooth for the alcohol. Moderate tropics and slight piney resin with a crisp malt profile of white cracker. Finishes dry. Crushable for 8%!
