PINTA Modern Drinking, czyli wszystko, czego nauczyliśmy się na temat klasycznego West Coast IPA. Tylko jeden, ale za to bardzo charakterystyczny chmiel – Mosaic® – dodany w ogromnej ilości na ostatnie minuty gotowania oraz na czas leżakowania piwa. PINTA Modern Drinking – zawsze na czasie!

Draught at Lauter, small stable dense bubbly head, light hazy deepish yellow colour, aroma of lemon and white bread, flavor grapefruit, light maltiness and a hint of wood and aromatic honey, medium bitterness. Nice and drinkable.

Can, 0.50l. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, herbs and resin. Pours cloudy dark golden color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts refreshing citrusy and tropical fruity, following is herbal and resinous, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Bottled. Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head, which leaves lace. Spiciness, some tropical fruits, mild herbs and sweet malts in the aroma. Flavour is has citrus, some grapefruit, spices, ginger and mild sweet malts as well as some nectary notes. Slight spicy hop burn.

From mikkeller shop, purchased march 2023, sampled apr.4 2023 Mild/weak but also strongly bitter hoppy aroma.can't help but thinking it is a bit sulphuric, certanly not tons of fresh us hops as i had hoped for. Flavor is fairly good, I can sense the dry agressive US hoppying, but I still get quite some off flavors too. best before 11 02 2023 - not sure if that means feb. 11 or november 02. if it is feb 11, that could explain, then the hops could have gone off enough for the beer to become weird. flavor has notes of bitter hops, grapefruit, pine, crisp but very fullbodied malty profile, near perfect sweetness for the style. I will rerate if I get hold of a fresh bottle some day. I never had an off bottle from pinta before, so this is a first.

Bottle 50 cl. Golden, good off-white foam. Aroma: fresh citrus (orange and grapefruit), lychee and passion fruit, light sweetness and flowers. Taste with a good malty body, grapefruit, lychee and other tropical fruits, some pine needles and a strong hop bitterness. Classic!

500 ml bottle. Unclear dark golden with a small creamy head. Herbal hops, some resin, grapefruit zest, caramel, honey. Mild hoppy bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry hoppy bittersweet finish. Decent IPA, not too hoppy though.
