Our newest collaboration is with Rueben's Brews based in Seattle Washington USA. Brew 882, Seattle Porter will be a classic porter full of roast malt flavours and dark fruit notes with an ABV of 4.8%. Adam, a former pupil of The Windsor Boys' School and head brewer at Rueben's Brews, along with his team are also brewing the Porter in Seattle, where it'll be known as Ottrey Porter.

Cask at the brewery, 19/11/14. Light black with a decent beige covering that retains well. Nose is light roast, hint of soap, dark fruit peel, cocoa nibs. Taste comprises biscuit, liqourice, toffee, dark malts, light cocoa. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter.

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Lightly hazy, dark brown. Thick, dense, sticky beige head. Light, dried vine fruits. Some green hop. Light, roast coffee malt. Taste is mostly dry, with a brown sugar sweetness on the lips. Palate is a bit thin. A bit tart, too. Finishes soft sweet. Light dry close.

Cask at The 32nd White Horse Old Ale Festival 2014, Parsonโs Green , London. A dark brown coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Roasty, malty, dark fruit aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, dark fruit. Rather thin for a porter.

Cask at the WHOAF 2014 - London. Pours unclear brown with a creamy beige head. Toasted malts in the nose with mild wood, dried fruits, toast. Light sweet flavor with general semi-ripe, leathery fruit character, lots of berry, some dry bread, slight grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced on the finish with more toated malts, faint burnt grains husks, dry leathery berries, mellow earth. Very drinkable beer, though nothing about it really sings. Still, solid drink.
