On tap. Pours out a copper/amber topped with a medium white head. Aroma was nice with a good hop balance and sweet caramel. The oak was pretty present as well. Taste was more of the hops and caramel malts. The oak was very well done. I am not a big heavy oak fan I think it takes away from the beer, but this was a great balance.

Timbo brought this beer back from the wilds of Wyoming in a Figi water bottle, thanks man
Appearance: Pours clear golden with a small white head and some lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Oak and floral hops
Taste: Floral hops, vanilla and citrus Very nice. The oak aging mellowed out the sweetness of the base beer.

Sampled at Sunset Grill Allston. Pours a hazy gold with a white, lacing head. Aroma is mostly piney, citrus fruits, some light oak, a little herbal. Flavor is sweet, pine, citrus, wood pulp. Not too much oak. Well balanced. The oak adds an extra complexity.

Tap @ TFD Boise: Pours a beautiful blend of golden and orange with a thick, creamy sandy head. Nice thick sheets of lacing. Modest in intensity, the nose is sweet and ctirusy with light caramel. No hints of wood yet. The taste is mellow and rounded (if that makes sense?) and far different from the brash samples I’ve had of the original. Nice body. More citrus, grapefruit, vanilla, and caramel. The oaking has played a minimal role here and really smoothed out the edges. A pleasant surprise.

On tap at Stub & Herbs. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a white head that laces nicely. Aroma had a nice combination of oak and pine notes, but not much else. Flavor had some underlying malt flavors with the pine and oak flavor again being the main factor.
