Sample at Pizza Port San Clemente. Pours a clear copper color with a thick and creamy light beige head that dissipates slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and citrus. Medium body with flavors of spiced hops, caramel malt and citrus. The finish is earthy and spicy with a malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft. Bronze beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit and light earth aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light earth, malt, and light caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light earth lingers with light malt and light darker malts.

Draft at KS Carlsbad. Light hazy orange gold with a big, heavy lacing, yellow tinged head. Nose of citrus and light pine and rye bread. Flavor was moderate bitterness with yeasty rye breadiness. My IPA loving son in law thought this was excellent as did I.
