On tap at Laurelwood, Portland. Chestnut colour with beige head. Smokey hop. Not much like a German alt bier, except maybe the malt is. Hoppy aroma, bit of fruit. Malts are alright. Just a touch of sourness, then coffee flavour. Again a tad nettley. It’s got great hops, but an alt?

Pretty beer - a rich, reddish-amber colour, bright and clear. The light aroma is slightly spicy. Moderate body. Sweetish character overall with well-developed malt notes.
