On tap at SARA. It pours a dark brown color with a light brown head. The aroma has some sweet chocolate milk and vanilla creamer. The flavor is the same. Kinda light bodied with sweet cocoa and minor hints of vanilla. There’s a weird smoky thing near the finish. I wasn’t really digging the watery body considering the relatively high gravity. It’s ok.

Poured on tap at the brewery. Aroma is chocolate and roast with quite a bit of vanilla. Some sweet lactose notes. More chocolate notes than roast, but the roast adds some nice complexity. A bit of a dark malt aroma. Pours black with a moderate sized, dark tan head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a bit of lactose. Quite a bit of chocolate and vanilla with some lighter roast notes. Medium light bitterness. Hint of alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice, sweet stout. Lots of vanilla and chocolate. Good lactose character that doesn’t overwhelm the beer.

Tap. Pours opaque black, very small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is cocoa, roasty, vanilla, lactose, hints of coffee. Flavor is light plus sweet, lots of vanilla, cocoa, lactose sugar, Graham cracker. Borders on heavy handed, but still in the good zone. Medium body,, soft mouthfeel.
