On draft at Caps & Taps. It pours a deep red color with a small white head. The aroma is pleasant with both tart and sweet cherries and some light toasted maltiness. The flavor has authentic notes of sweet and tart cherries. Very complex fruit character with no vinegar, thank God. Nice fruity sourness. Hints of oak come through. Mostly clean in that I don’t pick up much funk. A really masterful blend of sweet and tart cherry flavor. So tasty.

Tap. Pours quite hazy deep Ruby, medium pinkish white head, dissipates leaving good lacing. Aroma is vinous, cherry, oak tannins, light clean funk. Flavor is pretty tart, cherries, oak, light funk, dry. Dammit, I am gonna be breaking out the Pepsid later, but it’s worth it. Medium body. Far finish is funky cherries.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is somewhat acidic with some light oak notes. Moderate cherry notes with some light citrus. Cherry pie as well as some cherry juice. A bit of a candied cherry note. Pours a fairly hazy, red color one brown hues and a small, thick, pink head that recedes to the edges where it lingers a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with a light sweetness from the fruit. Some nice cherry complexity with tart cherries, some juicy cherry notes and a bit of a candied cherry character. Some light lemon notes and a touch of pineapple. Light oak notes. Hints of grain. Lingering cherry pie and acidity. Dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with good cherry notes. The use of multiple cherry types adds a nice complexity to the fruit. Acidity is a bit sharp and lactic but not too bad.
