Tap. Pours opaque black, no head, no lacing. Aroma is sherry, vinous, cocoa, licorice. Flavor has a hint of tartness, likely really just acidity from the sherry, vinous, light sweet and light bitter. Medium light body, low carbonation. A bit flat.

On tap at the Barrel House. It pours a dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma is full with rich fruity sherry. Raisins, cherry syrup, wood molasses and hints of cocoa. Sweet smelling, but pretty complex range. The flavor is super rich with more molasses, raisins and wood. Not too sweet, but extremely thick in viscosity. Lots of wood in the finish with more molasses and hints of roasted malt. The alcohol is noticed, but in a warming, pleasant way. No solvent. This one had some good flavors going on and thankfully, wasn’t a sugar or booze bomb. Still a bit hard to drink simply because of the heaviness.
