Draught. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate and mild dried fruits with some mild ashtray too. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, some roasted malts along with a wee bit of alcohol, some plum and mild liquorice.

Keg at Taphouse, CPH, 12/08/16. Rich mahogany brown topped with a tan swirl. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, charr, spice. Taste comprises rich roasted malts, molasses, spice, dark chocolate, light mineral notes, fruit esters. Medium + body, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok impy.

[ As Aarhus Black Monster (2016) ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, coffee, dusty, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160519]

Draught at KØ16. Black colour, seems cloudy. Small creamy light brown head. The flavour is creamy with a distinct bitterness. Mild coffee note getting more and more bitter with every sip. Late coffee and roast barley bitterness.

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and breadish. Thick malty, solid bitter and roasted malty. Dry, bitter and roasted malty. Bitter and liqourice roasted malty finish.
