bottle. very lievely when opened, fizzy spilling, but after letting some air out, the beer was fine. beatiful belgian sour brown aroma with deep sweet fruity notes as well as more funky yeasty notes, in a way more complex than many of the similar belgians, and that's quite a surprise. also some sweeter darker notes that i normally would find in a quad. the dark chocolate note makes it less agressively sour. flavor is quite sour, quite complex, tart. it is quite hard to place individual flavors, the fruity notes could be mangoes and grapefruit peel, the warmer sweeter notes could be chocolate, malts, wood. pretty good complex flavor but not entirely as good as the truly awesome aroma.

On tap at North Park, Feb '24. I'm fading. Dark brown, matte, smooth & seemingly still pour. Classy oxidized bruin with a fruitier than anticipated sangria nose. Red wine & vanilla, coated in chocolate syrup. Low acid, medium tartness. Mellow enough to blend. Chocolate keeps pushing forward. Really lovely. Woke me right up.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is leather, wood, sour fruit. Medium body, wood, leather, raisin, nice tartness, very good.
