Collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales (St. Louis, MO) - Fun fact: both Perennial and DC Brau own pink pallet jacks. The similar piece of brewery equipment lends its name to their collaboration. The “Pink Pallet Jack” takes a traditional style (Belgian-style Saison) and adds a twist with the addition of Rose Hips and Hibiscus, which will give the beer a “pinkish” hue.

12oz can pours a hazy amber-orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose is OK, a bit estery for my tastes, some hibiscus, yeast, maybe even some rhubarb. Flavor follows, the sweetness is a bit heavier now but still plenty of herbal and tannic notes, like rosewater or herbal tea. Finishes a bit oily.

Some citrus and hibiscus aroma. Flowery vibe but not in the yeast sense. Some bubblegum. Light sweet finish. Pink I think. Easy drinking. Can in mixer pack.

Bottle pour at the May 1st DC tasting. Poured a mostly clear light pink color with a fizzy white head. Aroma had light floral notes. Light peppery notes. Not overly flavorful. Lacking in funky notes.
