On tap at the Oakland Arbor location. Aroma is moderately grain forward with a bready, cracker note. Moderate hip notes of grapefruit, onion and dank resin. Hints of alcohol. Pours a hazy, golden color with a medium sized, thick, fluffy white head that recedes to a small film that lingers. Fairly high lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderately strong grain notes of cracker and bread with hints of flour. Fairly high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate hop notes of grapefruit, onion and dank, pine resin. Lighter berry notes and hints of tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an ok pale ale but I much prefer 831. This beer is rather malt forward with a weird unfermented, flour note to it. The hops are super dank and oniony with a bit of hop bite in the finish. Not as fruity or citrusy as I would like.
