Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, dried fruits, raisins, yeast, candy sugar, with some cocoa. Flavour is medium sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. Could be a bit more complex and full for sure, but I found this easy-drinking and smooth Quad to be a pleasant surprise. Well done.

Bottle shared at the Ben Burrows memorial virtual bottle share. Cheers Grumbo. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, red fruit and chocolate. Taste of caramel, roasted malts and dried fruit. Good.

Bottle 0,33 ltr: Black colored brew with an slightly alcohol taste with lot of sweetness and some sour. Hints of caramel, roasted malts, dried fruits, chocolate. Nice Black Sabbath reference.

Aus der Flasche im 2024-07 getrunken. Dieser dunkler Belgier kommt mit den typischen Aromen von Malz und Karamell. Nach hinten im Abgang macht sich leicht der Hopfen bemerkbar. Schönes Teil!

I bought this 33 cl bottle from a nice saleslady at The Bottle Shop in Bruges. So now I'm ready to open it and pour into my oversized Straffe Hendrik tulip glass. The sight is a dark brown/black liquid with a thin taupe skim. But the carbonation, it is really active. The scent tilts traditional and that is fine by me. Ripe dark fruit, malt and grain. The taste takes a small step back. Scorched bread, a touch of dark raisins, malt, licorice and sorghum. The beer would have benefited with more sweetness, my opinion.

Almost black beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has fried fruitness, prune, hint of roastiness and earthyness. Taste has dried fruitness, prune, dry wood, toffee, roastiness. Not too sweet. Medium+ bodied. Very different Quad than typically. Nice and tasteful beer.

Bottled@hermod. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted tones, some toffee, mild nutty, wooden and some sweet alcohol tones. Flavour is roasted, some alcohol and mild wooden tones with mild nutty elements too. A bit bananaish finish. A bit thin, but still boozy.
