Scaled up from an experimental batch thought up at one of our team lunches, Baker is a bright and piquant patio pounder making its debut as a proper release! We couldn’t think of a better accompaniment to backyard grill sessions, floating on Lake Union, or watching a glorious sunset at Golden Gardens.
Baker starts with a pale, simple grist with grains from our friends at Skagit Valley Malting. After primary fermentation and blending in a portion of oak-aged farmhouse ale, the beer is then dosed with whole limes and ginger root. In addition to the juice from these ingredients, we used the roots of the ginger as well as the citrus peels, and even a handful of lime leaves for added depth.
The result is punchy and tart, with a refreshing hit of spiciness in the finish – a low alcohol, mixed culture interpretation of the familiar notes in a well-made Moscow Mule.
We’re excited to see this beer housed in their vibrant slim cans, being brought to life after a collective brainstorming session last year for something uncomplicated and delicious for the summer months.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy pale golden with white head. Great aroma, ginger, herbal, some lime. Moderate tartness. Subtle. Somewhat bland in taste.

Pale, yellowish. Thin head. Big gin barrel aroma. Nice herbaceous, botanical character. Medium bitterness and mellow tartness. Quite good.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF WITH priceless Rachel's help (got it back!) in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: hazy blonde. Aroma: tons of botanicals, soapy. Taste: same. Overall: ehm, just ok.

12 oz. can sampled at Weathered 2023, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out intense lime and light ginger, with some rustic saison yeast. Flavour is bright, with lots of lime, a touch of ginger, and a touch of dry rustic saison yeast. Lime-centric and bright. Good stuff.

Poured from 355mL can @ Weathered 2023. Pale blonde with small white head. Light ginger and lime. Refreshing palate cleanser, no complexity.

Tap. Pours clear straw yellow, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is ginger and lime indeed, mineral notes. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, clean. Not complex at all, but an easy drinker. Light body
