Our Quarantot Double IPA is characterised by the extravagant use of various types of American hops to create a complex taste and aromatic experience on a base of Pilsner and Pale malts. Fermentation with a strain of American yeast triggers an explosion of hoppy aromas, bringing out their fruity notes.

Draught @ Birrificio Lambrate, Milan. Pours dark golden with a creamy offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, light caramel, grass, fruity hops, bitter citrus, pine. Flavor is rather bitter, malt, little caramel, grass, bitter hoppy, light alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carboantion, lasting bitter finish. 101215

Bottle (shared by fatphil, thanks). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, citrus, tropical fruits, malt. Flavor is sweet, tropical fruits, mango, malt. Finish is fruity bitter with touch of alcohol. Overall: OK, would like to try fresher version.

Bottle from gbbf 2015 and drunk at home. Hazy orange gold colour lasting beige head. Hoppy aroma. Tangerine satsuma orange flavour. Some caramel sweetness some moderate bitterness on the finish. Doesn’t taste it’s strength. Good orange fruits. Extremely tasty

On tap @ Circus beer lovers, Milano. La schiuma è poca ma resta attaccata ai bordi del vetro. Frizzantezza di normale intensità e fina. Colore ambrato carico. L’intensità olfattiva è leggera e di corta persistenza. Di contro l’intensità gustativa è elevata e persiste in maniera capace.

On tap in Jesolo-Italy with cika Boban. Pours a very cloudy amber/orange peel color, medium white foamy head...tick. Nose is definitely orange juice, sweet lemonade with a hint (almost hidden) of caramel and malts forward too. In the mouth this beer does not seem to be a Double IPA, almost no bitterness. The hops give only that pleasant flavor or citrus which goes quite well with the malty notes. You can drink it as much as you can without destroying your palate. I liked it.
