Can. Pours clear golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is definition nelson. Dankness, pot, hints of armpit. Flavor is clean, light sweet, light bitter, nice hop expression. Light body. Nice.

Can to glass. Massive chive and onion aroma. Slight grape must. Clear gold with robust white head that sustains throughout. Flavor is mostly onion. This is quite different from most Nelson beers I have had, but it sure is interesting.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 19, 2020. Aroma is hop forward with quite a bit of gooseberry, white wine, mango and tropical fruit notes. Light resin notes. Light cracker malt and hints of caramel and alcohol. Pours a rather clear, gold color with a large, thick, frothy, white head that steadily recedes into itself leaving a small film on the edges that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a somewhat dry finish with medium light cracker malt and light caramel notes. Moderately strong bitterness with light alcohol spice. Moderately strong hop notes of gooseberry, mango, passion fruit, grapes and tropical citrus. Light resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a fun IPA but not the best expression of nelson sauvin hops. I feel like the hop variety is better suited for a hazy IPA, especially as a single hop beer.
