Old rating - A 500ml bottle collected from the brewery earlier this year. Just approaching it's best before date. Pours a dark brown with no carbonation or head. Tastes bad, some richness & some bitterness, with no life in the body. Struggled to drink, disappointing as I had been looking forward to this. Very poor.

Bottle from Wales Ales. Murky dark reddish colour with moderate sized off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, berries, caramel, brown bread. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, berry tang, very bitter herbal finish. Medium to full bodied. A bit of a murky mix up of flavour but I quite liked the fruitiness and herbal bitter aspect. [#27 Welsh brewery, #5 Dunkler Bock]

On cask at Hopbunker, Cardiff. Pours opaque ruby brown with a tan head. Aroma: malts, caramel, Christmas spices. The taste follows, light sweet & heavy bitter. Medium body, moderate carb. Overly bitter & astringent finish. Not good at all
