Can from Beer52. Dark brown with brief beige head. Taste and aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, some coffee, plum and liquorice. Quite tasty but the body is slightly thin and a bit lifeless.

Can from Beer52. It pours darkest brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred, burnt toast, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, chocolate bourbons, dusty spice and earth. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, charred, dark roasted malt, cacao nibs, chocolate bourbons, earthy, coffee grounds, hint of alcohol and woody accents with a dry roasted finish. Medium body and light+ carbonation. Not bad.

[33cl can from Beer52, brewed and canned at Fierce, Aberdeen.] A glossy, opaque pour, almost black, but actually tawny brown, with a rim of cream coloured head; aroma of chocolate malts; quite oily in the mouth with chocolate, coffee and some deeply roasted malts adding bitterness; then a sweetish finish with porridge oats and coffee. A nice stout.
