12 oz. bottle from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a crystal clear very dark amber color with a large khaki head and great retention. Great lacing too. Pretty pour. Caramel malt/ toffee aroma. Very clean and smooth caramel malt flavor with a crisp finish. Sweet, yet not overly sweet. Well balanced. Medium body and medium carbonation. Light bitterness. Great Marzen. Prost!

12 ounce bottle. Bright orange copper color. Frothy beige head. Earthy toasted malt aroma has caramel notes. Sweet toasted malt flavor has toffeeish notes. Light bodied and toasty. Some stickiness on the palate. Fairly true to the style.

On tap for Casper’s Wedding. Pours a deep orange color with a medium white head. A nice crisp nose of apples and honey. The flavor is mellow caramel, dusty, some fruit, very sweet and light. Refreshing. Lots of flavor though.

Bottle, light hazy light brown colour with some rusty streaks, fruity aroma with some caramel notes, flavour of caramel with some dried fruits that add a note of sourness. Quite drinkable but nothing too exciting.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of malt, some caramel, some acidity and fruits (lots of apple). Sweetish-sourish yeasty flavor with some malt and sour fruits. Finishes with more sourness. Rather light-bodied. I think something went wrong here, but it’s still drinkable.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a nice sweet caramel malt. Flavor is the same, lots of heavy malt with some breadyness toward the end. It’s a marzan which not one of my favorite styles but this one has plenty of flavor.

12oz bottle pours a deep clear copper with thin to weak tan head. It has that nice Marzen, to me, aroma with malt sweetness having a caramel note and Munich to grainy maltiness with a hint of prunes. Overall the nose is on the light side. The taste is both grainy Munich malts and sweeter malts along with roasted malts and faint caramel. I also get a small bite from vague hop bitterness. I even get chocolate malts too. There are roasted malt notes that really linger deep into the after taste.

On tap at the Bocktown Beer Pub in the robinson twp shopping complex. Pours a little darker than you typical pale yellow beer, perhaps a little cream soda like. Yes just like many marzens. Has a 1 alabaster head that hangs. A just plain beery aroma with hints of sourness. Initial tastes of fruityness, cherries and perhaps some oranges. But I must say this is not overpowering, it just lingers in the background. This brew is well behaved with very little, if any, bitterness. This stuff is easy to enjoy. A very interesting beer that is different in a way that is complex and hard to describe. It really has an aged leathery gentleman like personality like nothing I’ve ever tasted. Finish is mild, enjoyable and repeatable.A nice session beer. The makers of ’fruit beers’ should take some hints from this brew. It has fruit qualites that actually tastes like its brewed in and not added in later. Nice quality flavors. In retrospect there is a mild mild bitterness on the last gulp that does reveal a hop or malt presence.

A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with nice hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, as well as lighter notes of hops. OK, but hoppier than Your usual Märzen.
