Draught. Very deep brown, close to black, colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts and some tropical fruits, nectar and grapefruits. Flaovur is quite much the same elements as the aroma, but also some liquorice to it. Too much roasted tones for my likes in this beer style.

Bottle from the brewery. Black, light tan froth. Aroma has coffee and roasted malt, grapefruit. Coffee and licorice flavour. Hoppy bitterness, looong raw licorice finish giving an overall somewhat unbalanced impression.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a reddish tint and a creamy, beige head. Odd aroma of smoke and yeast - comes out medicinal almost. Medium body, extremely dry roast bordering - or even exceeding - astringency. Rough, raw and unrefined with the coffee adding little more than pure bitternes. Unpleasant. 010217
