Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Complex nose with leathery Brett shining through. Medium body only, surprisingly thin, lowish carbonation, slight caramel, but it's the leathery Brett again that dominates. No real alcohol showing. The beer is 4 years past its BB, but still a 10,5% Doppelbock shouldn't really develop Brett. It's not entirely unpleasant though and adds a sophisticated complexity - but probably completely hiding the original Dopelbock. 230620

Bottle, 10.5% at KØ16. Fruity aroma. Clear dark chestnut colour. No head. The flavour is sweetish and caramelly with a good dusty note. Boozy, creamy vanilla finish, but less green than most other barley wines I have had at this festival.
