16 oz can from Beer Culture, 2/28/25. The pour is medium brown, slight reddish hue, tan head, light / drippy lacework. Caramel, pumpernickel, toffee, brown sugar, and a little milk chocolate. A little sweet, malty. Flavorful. Very smooth. Excellent overall.

Canned 11/20/24, drunk 1/3/25.
Clear dark auburn. Medium-sized, greyish-to-light-tan head.
Rich, warm, gooey, fresh-out-of-the-oven brown bread with honey, caramel, brown butter and good acidity from the yeast and darker malts. Yet no harsh roast or anything like that. Rich and satisfying. Mildly hoppy with appropriate, tasteful, herbal notes. Clean.
Rich, malty, soft and succulent. Bit of milk chocolate, caramel and lots of brown bread. Low toast/roast, not scratchy or overdone on specialty malts. Proper acidity on the finish with light mineral, moderate hop bitterness and herbal character. Balanced, drinkable and satisfying.

Pours deep mahogany-tinged brown into a dimpled mug. Mocha pancake head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Fig, date and roasted nut aromas. Medium bodied with sweet molasses, fig, date and raisin brown bread upfront turning to earthy cocoa-dusted pumpernickel in the dry, lasting finish.

Sunday afternoon enjoyment while tidying up prior to heading to airport. Chestnut colored beer with a sudsy tan top. Nose is nutty and some toffee. Tastes of cashew, walnut, toffee, pumpernickel, raisins. Smooth palate.
