Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2016, National Winter Ales Festival (2016), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As St. Austell Black Arsed Fly ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small, open and frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted - chocolate , sweet malt, candy - fruity - Xmas cake. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, candy, sweet malt, sugary, spicy - Xmas cake. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask@Charlies Bar, Copenhagen - darkest brown to black coloured pour with tidy beige head. Aroma and taste is medium roasted malty, some nice mellow chocolate and caramel sweetness, dark dried fruity nuances, creamy, medium to full body, pretty solid porter.
