This lightly smoked porter is based on the traditional German Rauchbiers of Bamberg, Germany. It has multi-layered fruit and spice flavours with an undertone of light beechwood smoke. This beer is extremely complex and highly enjoyable!

Handpull cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Dark brown with only a suggestion of translucency. Full of natural carbonation. A thin, tight beige head. Coffee, liquorice and slight metallic scent. Not much smoke... in fact not any in the aroma. Sweet taste and... yep, there’s a bit of smoke. Sweet with a bitter/sour hop balance in the long finish, underlaid by a gentle smoky note. Seawater, peanut and chocolate in the aftertaste. Very nice.
