The beer is quite pale, just a light gold. Fairly cloudy. Medium sized white head. Some lacing. Good retention. The aroma is light orange peel. Sweet malt. Mild, pleasant phenolic character. Very fresh and fairly bright smelling. Taste is fairly dry. They’re a touch of hop bitterness. Nice sweet Belgian action. Lightly spicy. Mild mineral flavor. All delicacy and refreshing fresh flavors. Light stone fruit. Little pepper and coriander. Light mouthfeel, a little fluffy soft body to it. Nice little Belgian with a citrus twist.

On tap at the Trappist. It pours a mostly clear yellow gold color with a tall white head. The aroma is full with fresh bread, light baking spice and citrus. The flavor is peppery and funky with some light barnyard and phenol. Light lemon and orange notes. It has a really pleasant, silky mouthfeel and a spicy, phenolic funky finish. Not too overbearing. Really good stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma has a nice, light grain note with a touch of white bread. Some hints of acidity with light citrus and tropical fruit. A light phenolic note with clove and peppercorn. Light pear notes. Pours a hazy, bright yellow gold with small, moderately thick head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Faint lacing and legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness with some light grain notes. Hints of light candi sugar and caramel. Medium light bitterness. Moderate notes of pear, tropical fruit and stone fruit. Very light phenolic notes of clove and a light grassiness. Some light citrus notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. A soft mouthfeel. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice Belgian blonde. I like the hop character and the esters are really nice. I also enjoy that the phenolic note, while present on the aroma is much lighter in the flavor. Nice, soft mouthfeel.
