At the source in Rare Barrel brewpub, Berkley-USA. Cloudy caramel pour, ivory foam. Nose: a bit dusty, apricots upfront, mild sourness, more fruitiness. Mouth: medium carbo, pulp of peach, pepper redundancy in the finish. Great! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours hazy chestnut, medium creamy tan head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is a bit roasty, tart cherry, apricot. Flavor is medium tart, apricot, perhaps a hint of tequila on the finish. Medium body.

On tap at Rare Barrel. It pours a deep amber red color with a khaki head. The aroma has a little roasted malt, cherry and oak. The flavor is very oak forward and tannic with lots of red wine. Thankfully, I’m not picking up the tequila. (not a fan of tequila beers) Some light apricot-like tartness near the finish along with hints of roast. Kind of a weird combination. Lots of red wine in this one with some vinegar notes. Bracingly sour. Decent, but a little hard to drink.
