A firm favourite at beer festivals. But, definitely a beer to drink with care. This beer has won more awards than any of our range. Hops used are Target.

Cask at Spuyten Duyvil - hazy gold beer - the smell is peaty, earthy, and slightly medicinal - the flavor is kind of the same - dry, scotch-like, mildly medicinal, buttery/bready - the back end is some dryer kind of british maltiness (marris otter or golden promise) - fairly bitter in the long term, with lingering hops - diacetyl on the back end - a little bit of a mess for me.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense at Merton Winter Beer Festival 17-02-07. I was expecting a darker looking beer but it actually poured looking more warm golden , tasted much smoother than I expected and nothing like the 10% monster that it was, yes there was a sticky sweetness to it but overall it was dangerously drinkable and at the end of the Saturday night I found myself quite easily slipping one of these down.

Cask pull at The Map Room, Chicago. Brassy brown color with a thin but bubbly head. The smell betrays little of whatever is concealed within, just a thin (that word again) hint of crystal malt. The taste tells all, however. The fruitiness of a nice long warm ferment, some caramel malt with a bit of toffees, apples and grapes. A warm alky burn that’s somehow gentle at the same time. Some pretense of sherry, back by floral or fuity hops. Difficult for the novice, but fascinating to beer geekdom.

Cask. Dark golden colour, not much head. Alcohol, fruit and berries in aroma. Strong alcohol and fruit in flavour. Quite extreme for being a cask ale, but then again very pleasant. Good beer to have if you sit down and have a chat with friends.

Copper-golden color, small off-white head. Slightly alcoholic, berry-like aroma. Sweetish, even sugary ale with fruity notes. Very long, alcoholic bitter aftertaste. Berry also there. Cask ale to sip, slowly.
