Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at Maypole. Dotted spots from a low, pearl white head, clear amber. Moderate caramel malts on the nose. Blended taste profile of dried fruits and caramel. Bittersweet finish. Pretty fair. (Cambridge 14.11.2021).

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Cambridge Wines. Pours clear copper-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Lovely toasted grain character, modest sweetness, some leafy and grassy hops, subtle English yeast, earth, dry biscuits. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Impressively moreish, with soft caramel accents, more sturdy grassy-leafy bitterness, toasted bread and grains. A solid, by-the-book bitter.

Cask at Maypole, Cambridge, UK. Pours a nice deep amber, transparent, with very fine whitish foam. Aroma is a delicate mix of malty, citrus and spicy. Body is average without carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter with a bit of initial sweetness. Finish keeps some of the bitterness over.
