The first beer we ever made when we started brewing in our kitchen! The recipe has been tweaked along the way but is largely unchanged from that very first brew....it was delicious then and is delicious now!

A well balanced golden amber ale with rounded light biscuit malt flavours and a well mannered bitter finish, dry hopped with American Cascade and Columbus giving delicious citrus and floral aromas.

Christmas present from relatives who live down in West Sussex. Initial herby aroma when I pop the cap off. However when I investigate further I get an odd mixture of herbs and floral, eggs and butter. Copper gold. Frothy white head maintains itself. Light bitter with some underlying finish. Herbs, butter and boiled veg. Not getting the biscuity malts or bitter finish as promised by the blurb on the bottle. Thin. Light. Fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Not great. Think a drain pour is due.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 9/2/2017. Amber in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Solid session ale, with some biscuity malts, citrus hops and a touch of mandarin orange fruit, before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Pale amber color, good steady off-white head. Rustic hoppy aroma. Light-bodied. Leafy, dry hoppyness in the flavor. Dry finish. Despite of name it is a bitter/golden ale, not an amber ale. Standard cask ok.
