Cask at The Robin, Crouch Hill, London. My 2200th brewery rated on 'ere. Pours black with creamy tan to beige foam. Aroma: roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, cream. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, follows the aroma. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Nice tackle.

12/7/2024. Cask at the 33rd Ealing Beer Festival. Pours very dark mahogany brown with a frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, ash, caramel, biscuit, dark fruits. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Oily with soft carbonation. Light drying roasted finish. Quite enjoyable.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. As might be expected, the aroma is mainly roasted malts. In the mouth it is sweet and slightly watery. Flavour is roast malts again along with cola and some hints of chocolate and biscuits. A pretty decent stout.
