Hopped thoroughly with Cascade, backed up with a bit of Southern Cross & Motueka, it's a deep dark beer with enough roast to balance all the floral notes. Black IPA may be less trendy these days but it's no less tasty.

Keg at the Rake. It pours black with a small beige head. The aroma is fresh, sweet florals, parma violets!, candied rose petals, bubble gum nd roasted malts. The taste is crisp, bitter, roasted malts, floral notes, bright parma violets character, peppery spice and charred wood with a lingering dry - roasted finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A good floral cda.

Cask at NWAF, Derby, Wednesday 17th February 2016 Black as yer at’, with a lovely off white creamy head. A lilting hoppiness on the nose, creamy but also malt and hoppy. There is a pleasant little stinginess/hoppy prickle across the tongue, this is another very nice beer from Torrside, mmhhh...beginning to think I should of got a Keykeg for Merton Beer Festival now.
