Cask at the Britannia, Marlow. Crystal-clear, glowing amber with a decent white head- an attractive brew. It’s a shame the taste isn’t up to the looks. A decent fruitiness up front is overwhelmed by slimy caramel. A touch of damp, dusty corners doesn’t really help. Does nothing to change my low opinion of this brewery.

Cask @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Clear brown ale with a thin head. It has a crisp malt taste with a touch of grain.
