A classic best bitter. The rich malts combine well with the fruity hops to produce a balanced, full-flavoured best bitter

Cask at Reading BF. Caramel in hue. Caramel and toffee aroma. Caramel and toffee flavour. Caramel and toffee afrertaste. Nothing wrong with it if you like caramel and toffee; in fact, considering it just tastes of caramel and toffee it’s surprisingly well-balanced and drinkable. In fact, if you’re looking for a beer with caramel and toffee characteristics, you could do a lot worse than this one, because it’s dominated by caramel and toffee. I’m glad I worked out how to use cut and paste on my smart phone, it wasn’t easy. By the way, did I mention this beer tasted of caramel and toffee?

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A hazy chestnut pour with a thin cream head; malty aroma; caramel taste; with some light bitterness, and dry bisucit to finish. A fairly basic bitter.
