Klášter lager is a delicious harmonious beer with a fresh taste and a balance between full taste and bitterness. The beer is not pasteurised, i.e. heat-processed, so the taste is the same as in the brewery cellars in the rock.

Unpasteurized version. Golden colour with a fairly thick head. Herbal aroma with light malt. Lightly buttery, with a light pale malt character. Finishes vaguely dry, but diacetyl probably leaves too strong a signature.

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a huge foamy and slightly off-white head. Dusty, moderately sweet and slightly nutty aroma with a shy hoppy touch. Light-sweet flavour, light bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly grainy base with an early stage of infection. Sweet-bitter, slightly grainy and subtle fruity finish. 07.X.08

Bottled (thanks hanniku!). Deep goldeny amber colour with mediumsized fluffy/foamy head. Aroma is grassy hops, some bready malts and mild caramelly notes as well. Flavour is wood, grassy hops, mild yeastyness as well as some grassyness in the finish. Quite pleasant as for the flavour.

Bottled (BB 04/2010), K-Länsiväylä, Jkl
Golden clear color, active carbonation, small white head. Woody-grassy hay aroma. Flavor is a bit similar. "Pencil-woody" flavor. Grassy, hayish hoppyness with notes of blackcurrant leaves. Harsh palate. Very similar to 12°-version but of course more watery.
