Klášter lager is a delicious harmonious beer with a fresh taste and a balance between full taste and bitterness. The beer is not pasteurised, i.e. heat-processed, so the taste is the same as in the brewery cellars in the rock.

50cl Bottle from houseofbeer. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of barley, hint of honey, some grassy and light spicy hops. Flavour is light malty, hint of bread, bits of caramel and honey, decent grassy bitter finish. Light bodied. Ok, but not great.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear orange golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste are a bit weird. Not like most of the Czech Pilseners I’ve had lately. Can’t really explain it. Not as crisp and fresh as some of the ones I had earlier.

Copperish-golden beer, finely carbonated to a good, dense, yellowish head. Fresh-smelling, rainwater, garden weeds, grass, young green leaves. Not very forceful nose. Caramel, garden herbs, sweetish & toasted malts, finish herbal-bitterish. Good balance, but not very exciting. Certain slickness, quite carbonated. Malt (cornflakes?) and bit metallic bitterness as a long aftertaste. Decent. Txs to Peter!
