Can: Nearly as black as ink, small persistent off-white foamy layer, moderate both bitter-sweet and sourish aroma of toasted malt, dried fruits and ashes; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour with a well hidden sweetness, almost medium bodied and quite soft; lingering dry fruity-ashy and bitter finish. Cask handpull at Clove Hitch Liverpool. Black beer lasting tan head. Some dark chocolate some roast dryness on the finish. Some juiciness some blackcurrant but overall a little thin. Some blackcurrant jam. Ok. Just. Cask conditioning needs work.
