Smooth full bodied, soft carbonation, finish is lingering rich malty, coconut, vanilla, roast bittter. Very drinkable.

Bottle at the high Wycombe fancy pants tasting 1/8/2025. Many thanks team. A super thicc brown black coloured pour with a fading dark tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, rich dark chocolate, fudge, desecated coconut, peanut. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, light tangy raspberry, rich dark chocolate, coconut, alcohol, dark berries. Palate is medium sweet oily, thicc, chewy, light tang, mellow carbonation. Lovely complexity.

1st August 2025
ADTWD team tasting in sunny Halzlemere. Opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, a modest dryness, good fine carbonation for the style. Nose is rich dark chocolate, a touch of coffee and bourbon soaked ripe fruits. Boozy dark chocolate liqueur and smooth rich fruity bourbon. A mild coconut and mild bourbon spice. Smooth rich finish leaves a spicy linger. Nice, very rich but drinkable.

Bottle at the 270 tasting, at the Mount, 01/08/2025.
Black topped with a beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is chocolate, molasses, dark malts, figgy jam, bourbon rip.
Taste comprises chocolate, dates, figs, molasses, barrel tones, booze, coconut.
Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy sipper.

On tap at Cycle, pours jet black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is full of toasted almonds, subtle coconut, and big bourbon barrels in wonderful cohesion. Flavour is rich and complex, with tons of roasted albums, much less of the coconut, and soft woody bourbon barrels. Lower on the sugars than expected, I think due to the nuts. This is fantastic.

Draft pour at Dominion Wine and Beer. Poured a pitch black color with a small, tan head. Aroma was big boozy malts, huge, perhaps it was soy I got in this one? Kind of odd, it's fresh. Roasted chocolate, with a light coconut finish.

Sample kindly served by Doug. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: very nice American oak, some sweetness and coconut. Taste: along the same lines, chocolatey, full-bodied. Overall: very nice.
