Paying homage to its IPA roots with traditional dry hopping. We throw in columbus, cascade and chinook hops and roasty chocolate and crystal malts to give this beer its dark colour. Unrefined Indian jaggery sugar gives this beer its rich full flavour.

330ml can from local Lidl store. Pours hazed watery dark brown towards black with a fluffy beige head. Aroma & taste: roasted malts dominate, distant hops, light sweet & light to moderate bitter. Thin to medium body, over carbonated, dry light bitter finish. Dull. Needs more hop character

Can from Sit and Sip, Wokingham, in the garden, 26th March 2020. Pours a dark cola colour, opaque, great big head. Aroma is roasted malts, light citrus. It taste of Cocoa, Light citrus, well integrated, light body, over carbonated, for the style, not bad

Can shared by Dutchdrebus. Brown to dark brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, some roast, distant hoppy notes but not enough to balance the roasted malts so those dominate. Doesn't make it a bad beer but it's not a great black IPA. 7-3-7-3-15.

Thuis uit een blikje, na de Kerstborrel op werk. Mooi zwart, lichtbruin schuim. Uitstekende warme smaak, zoet, maar ook een frisse bittere nasmaak. Prima!

At a tasting, medium bubbly head, long lasting clear deep brown color, aroma of green hops, roasty burned notes and citrus hints, piney muddy, roasty burned coffee, mellow shrubby bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.

Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Light coffee, milk, dark fruit and a whiff of smoke in the aroma. Flavours of tart dark fruits, light smoke, licorice, dark malt. Not bad.

Can 330ml (BGonzo, BB 07/2018)
Dark brown colour, huge cloudy brownish head and lace. Aroma is not very good for black IPA. I smell wood, dry grass and light notes of caramel. Medium-bodied. Front has attacking bitterness. Wood, grass and as said - very bitter but not fruity bitter, more like dry and bitter. Then hints of licorice, underlying caramalt. Bitter lingering aftertaste. Quite odd. Not sure if this can was originally like this .
