Paying homage to its IPA roots with traditional dry hopping. We throw in columbus, cascade and chinook hops and roasty chocolate and crystal malts to give this beer its dark colour. Unrefined Indian jaggery sugar gives this beer its rich full flavour.

0.33 l bottle from Pivarna, Maribor. Brought by Višnja 666, thanks! Clear dark brown, small off-white head. Roasty, low hops. Nutty. Light bitterness, dark malt dominate. Wood. Medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Not in style.

330ml can. Pours a clear deep dark copper colour with a large frothy beige head. Aroma: dark sugar and malts, spice, herbs, burnt toffee, no hops? Taste: sugary, roasted malt, hint of dark fruit, burnt toffee, very acrid, metallic. Medium body, soft carbonation. Honestly an awful black IPA, couldn't detect any hops at all and it was far too acrid to be drinkable.

330ml can. Pours a reddish dark brown colour with a creamy biege foam head leaving lacing and aroma of chocolatey roast malt and fruity hop resins. Taste is roast malty, chocolate and coffee, with dark fruits, hoppy, citric, pine and tangy earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Handpump at Tree Folks in Rome-Italy. Black coffee bean color, ivory cap. Nose: dusty, leather, ashes. Mouth: bitterness is elegant and round as much as its roast. Very English. Another concept of black IPA, tasty!
